The eastbound station power is supplied through solar panels mounted on the roof. Both buildings date back to the 19th century and are excellent examples of New Haven Railroad station houses. The eastbound station received an award-winning renovation in 2012. The westbound station received an ADA-compliant renovation in 2004. Tickets must be purchased from the vending machines located on and near the platforms on both sides. Metro-North Railroad no longer staffs ticket offices in any of our stations. Both names are on the building, but only Westport is shown on the platform signs and the schedules. The official Metro North station name is Westport, not Saugatuck (as it is locally known). Westport Taxi and Saugatuck Taxi cabs are generally parked on the eastbound side on Ferry Lane to await incoming trains from New York City.Īvis/Budget Rental Car is located in the eastbound station.
